At this women’s clinic, we respect your decision and promise to treat you with dignity. We never pass judgement on our patients, as we don’t think this is the role of a healthcare provider. However, there are many other facilities that masquerade as abortion clinics or pregnancy resource centers that have only one purpose: to convince you to continue the pregnancy and give birth.
Please be aware that many places portray themselves as abortion clinics to get vulnerable women to visit them thinking they can help them with a termination. In fact, many such places are anti-abortion and are misrepresenting themselves in order to prevent and block women from having an abortion. They label themselves as the opposite of their intentions, just to be able to corner women and make them change their minds.
Once such patients visit them, they intentionally perform an ultrasound to influence her and make her watch in order to bond with it. They then tell her of all the positives the pregnancy will bring to her life. Some even go so far as to demean her and pump her full of guilt if she is still interested in pursuing an abortion. They say in their advertisements that they have an abortion referral in place, but never actually refer anyone to an abortion clinic. Their only agenda is to convince her to change her mind and to not terminate, and will use any means necessary. They don’t care about the specific situation of the woman, her reasons that have made her choose to terminate, or any negative consequences of continuing the gestation. In fact, they would rather demean, insult, and mentally torture and abuse the innocent pregnant woman than help her do what is in her best interest.
We bring your attention to these facts, because we want you to be in control of your life instead of others who think themselves to be the moral police. You are in charge of your fate, and only you are entitled to make decisions that affect your life. We don’t want you to fall into their traps.
